Writing to you from yet another airport. I know you will be shocked and amazed to hear that I got here VERY early. Like, 5:45am.... they didn't let me check in until 7:25 so I had some yummy hot porridge and watched Meet the Robinsons on my iPad. I am now through security (which was a breeze even though I was reasonably scattered) and sitting watching planes take off on the runway. My plane doesn't start boarding for another 45 minutes but then I will be well on my way to beautiful Florence.

Well, Cheers London- it's been grand!
I didn't stay in the airport itself for long, I was more intent on getting into London and to my hotel. It was easy to find the train to get into London and the only slight hitch that nearly tripped me up was that the oyster card touch on points are at the bottom of the elevator, and quite easy to miss, so you could possibly forget to touch on and get fined.
